Pico-ITX POE Edge AI Embedded Board with NXP i.MX8M Plus ARM Processor, Dual MIPI CSI, LVDS, CAN and integrated AI/ML Neural Processing Unit
The EMB-2239 embedded board is based on the NXP i.MX8M Plus ARM application processor. The board features a Power over Ethernet (PoE) ready Gigabit Ethernet port, on-board dual-core DSP that runs algorithms for voice control, a full set of I/Os including RS-232/485/CAN, dual MIPI CSI camera interfaces and expansion header slot for PCIe, GPIO and second ethernet port, integrated AI/ML Neural Processing Unit.
Built for Edge AI Applications
Based on NXP i.MX8M Plus application processors with 10+ year longevity support and integrated machine learning accelerator, the board is designed to satisfy diverse applications demanding a robust and compact computing edge AI embedded applications. The NPU (Neural Processing Unit) on-chip hardware accelerator is specialized to perform artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) tasks, supports ONNX Runtime, TensorFlow Lite, and DeepViewRT inference engines.
Dual MIPI CSI for Intelligent Vision
The board supports two MIPI CSI camera inputs with two Image Signal Processor (ISP) channels for intelligent vision systems and vision-based machine learning applications.
On-board Voice DSP
Built-in smart codec with dual-core DSP that runs algorithms for voice control, omni-directional spatial, noise suppression, and acoustic echo cancellation (AEC). Linux supports for Amazon AVS (Alexa Voice Service) Device SDK and Sensory TrulyHandsfree Wake Word Engine. Additional 8-channel digital audio inputs and outputs (SAI1) for expansion.
Flexible I/O and Power Input
40 pin expansion port provides custom add-on boards for Power over Ethernet (PoE) IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at (POE+), 12V DC, 24V AC and 9-36V DC wide voltage power input as well as GPIOs, digital audio, I2C, serial communication, additional Ethernet options for ODM applications.
Panel PC Reference Design
10.1″ touch panel PC reference design PPC-4910 built on the EMB-2239 POE edge AI embedded board, supports two gigabit Ethernet ports, RS-232, 485, CAN interfaces. OS support includes Android, Yocto and Debian Linux. It is design to help embedded software and application development and speed up time-to-market for customization and ODM projects.
